SensiChip
A DNA-sensing chip for detection of infectious disease DNA markers in aquatic systems.
Over het Project

Identification and detection of harmful pathogens in water or fish enables the monitoring of health conditions of aquatic life. To this end, a biosensing platform is being developed capable of detecting genetic material, with an ultra-sensitive photonic sensor at its core. Using low-cost integrated biochips to detect disease-specific biomarkers, this system offers an affordable way to prevent significant economic losses, thereby maintaining sustainable aquacultures.
